Today’s Quote: Money grows on the tree of persistence. – Japanese proverb
Today’s Focus: Taking care of yourself. Today let us put all the holiday bustle on pause and take good care of ourselves. Plan on eating at least one fresh food today. Drink plenty of water. Take a long shower or a soak in the tub. Both if you can! Do your nails. Use that nice lotion. And as soon as possible tonight get in your comfy sleep clothes and fix yourself a London Fog. Read a book just for you. Go to bed early. Nobody will care if the cookies are homemade if you are a frazzled mess. Now go take care of yourself. The next few days are meant to be enjoyed and not be a sprint to the gift unwrapping.
How to make London Fog:
1 Earl Gray teabag (I like Tazo Earl Gray for regular or Republic of Tea Earl Greyer for decaf)
1 c. skim milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Add sugar if you like.
First boil water. Make sure it is extremely hot. In a small cup, add water to tea bag. I let it brew for about 4 minutes.
In a larger coffee cup add 1 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp sugar and heat in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes.
Remove the milk and add the hot tea concentrate to it.
